Preview Pane not showing comments on word documents

In the past, I was able to see the track changes and comments in the file explorer preview pane. Now I have to actually open the document to read the comment. Anyone know a fix for this?

I've tried in Windows and I can see the comment in the preview pane. No need to open the document. As you can see below:





If you can't see the comment in the preview pane, here are some troubleshooting steps to narrow down the root cause:

1. Move this document into another Windows device, and see if the issue will recur. This is to determine whether this issue has something to do with this document itself or not.

2. Create and save another document with tracked changes and comments on the same Windows device, try again in File explorer and see if the same issue will occur. This is to determine whether the issue is with Windows or not.

Hi,

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.
