  1. In "Select which icons appear on the taskbar", the Volume toggle keeps toggling to OFF in...

Every time I right click in notifications area > Settings >Select which icons appear on the taskbar, then toggle volume to ON, it switches back to OFF after a few days. I couldn't find any questions on this, and all the results show how to turn it to ON, but my problem is that AFTER I turn it to ON, it goes back to OFF after a few days.

I have the latest windows 10 update. So just wondering if this a common bug? I would think it would be hard for anyone to search for such an issue as they would have likely gotten the same results as I have.

    :)

    • On the Start menu, type Settings, and then hit Enter.
    • Under Notification area, click Select which icons appear on the taskbar.

    Volume icon wont open

    Hi,

Corrupted system files and Windows update components may trigger issues in opening the
volume icon on your taskbar. For us to rectify your issue, follow these steps:

    • Press Windows key + I.
    • Click Personalization.
    • Choose Taskbar.
    • Under the Notification area, click on Turn system icons on or off.
    • Toggle off the Volume option.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Perform steps 1-5, then toggle on the Volume option.

Verify if you will be able to launch the volume icon on your taskbar after performing the procedures above. This will refresh the default settings enabled on your taskbar.

Do not hesitate to reply if you need more help.
