Windows 10: In Settings Bluetooth Radio is off, but BT tray icon all is well

In the main Windows settings->Devices->Bluetooth, it reports that "Bluetooth is turned off". There's no button present to turn it back on. However, if I use the Bluetooth tray icon's context menu, it shows that the radio and everything else is on and I can easily connect any Bluetooth device I have. Note that I was so sick and tired of my Bluetooth keyboard losing it's connection, I purchased a new Bluetooth dongle. But the problem persisted, so I downloaded the correct 64-bit driver from the manufacturer (EVEO), installed it, and afterwards, as long as I used the BT tray icon to connect once, everything is perfect. Except, of course, that the Settings still reports that Bluetooth is off. I thought of uninstalling all the 20 or so Bluetooth drivers, since when I look at them in the Device Manager (I must choose "show hidden devices" to see these), they all report that they are no connected to any device. What would your suggestion be, please? I'm ready to uninstall all those disconnected drivers, but I don't want to do anything rash. Thank you! Bluetooth Radio gone after windows 10 upgrade


So after updating from windows 7 to windows 10 my bluetooth radio is now gone. My bluetooth keyboard and mouse are connected but I can't make new connections via bluetooth because I can't access the bluetooth radio. The bluetooth icon is gone in the system tray and I can't find anything about bluetooth in device manager.

We can see here that you want to show the Bluetooth icon on the system tray. To do that, kindly follow the steps below:

• Click on Start menu.
• Go to Settings.
• Select Devices.
• Click Bluetooth.
• Under Related settings, select More Bluetooth options.
• On the Options tab, tick the box beside Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area.

Turning bluetooth off is not too hard; click on the bluetooth icon in the system tray to get the settings. But turning it on is hard; search for bluetooth, find settings, enable bluetooth...

So I want the bluetooth icon in my system tray _all the time_, not just when bluetooth is on. That way I can turn it on and off manually at will.

How can I keep the icon in the system tray when bluetooth is _off_?

As a wish list item, I would also like an 'enable/disable bluetooth' in the system tray icon's menu to make that a one-click opertation.
