Windows 10: In system information Windows Defender application is off

HI was wondering if I could ask a question please. I just went into system information to look at something I noticed that windows defender application is turned off in system information I clicked on Run as adminstrator. I would like to now is this an issue in terms of keeping my system safe and secure. I was wanting to now I download a bluestacks game virtualiztion software to play games. Got this software from bluestacks.comCan this turn off the windows defender application.Should I be concerned with the windows defender application beng turned off.Real time, Tamper protection, Sample

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter

  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

Method 1: Make the “Windows defender Service” startup type to “Automatic”.

• Press “Windows key + R” from keyboard.
• Type “services.msc” without quotes in the “Run” Window and hit enter.
• Search for “Windows Defender Service”.
• Make “Startup Type” to “Automatic”.
• Restart the computer and then check how it works.

Method 2: Run a SFC (System File Checker) Scan by following the steps provided below.

• Right click on Start button and select “Command Prompt (Admin)”.
• Type “sfc /scannow” and press Enter.
• After the scan is complete, type “exit” and press Enter.

Also, would like to inform that if other antivirus is running in the computer, Windows Defender will be disabled.
