    I use an HP P Pavili 590 PC with the latest version of Windows 10.I am also using the n new Microsoft Edge bro browser.


    When I highlight a link and left click I am left handed the toolbar with the usual copy, paste, etc. does not open. Why is this, and what can be done to fix the issue.


    I am using access technology for the visually impaired, and this is a real frustration!

    Edge Browser not allowing highlighting and copying text with mouse

    I finally found a solution to this problem and it was pretty easy. I which I wouldn't have spent all the time reading through the many posts here:

    • Highlight the address of the page in the address bar
    • Right click to copy the address (or CTRL+C)
    • Open Chrome or FireFox
    • Copy the address there
    • Continue your work and don't waste more time trying to do it with Edge.
    I'm being serious. If you think this saves you time, then rate this answer to help other people with this problem. If a browser doesn't let you copy and paste from your own emails, then you need to use another browser and Microsoft should know better.

    I have new Microsoft Edge but I cannot find how to highlight the pdf files there. The old version allowed me to quickly highlight a text. Now it is very incontinent
