Windows 10: In W10 Microsoft wireless adapter does not align duplicate mouse correctly

ThinkPad T470 under Win 10, all latest updates, Microsoft Wireless Display adapter with firmware 2.0.8442 latest. Adapter plugged in correctly to the TV and USB power plugged in, adapter displays itself correctly on the TV encouraging to connect from the PC. After pressing on PC [windows key]+K, a grey panel titled "CONNECT" appears on the right, on which the "MSDisplay_Adapter_D7" is found. After clicking that, the duplicate display appears on the TV. The mouse pointer, however, is in a random position on the duplicate screen not the correct position, making the duplicate screen unusable

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue. Follow the Methods below and check.

Run the Hardware and Devices
troubleshooter and check.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.
