Windows 10: In Win 10 why will Word not convert docs to PDF

Anyone else not able to convert Microsoft Word documents to PDFs? When I try to by doing Save As (with the Word document open) and then in the Save As Type drop down I select PDF then click Save, I instantly get a message saying Microsoft Word Has Stopped Working, trying to recover your information, then-- I will be notified if a solution is available.

Modern Setup Host has stopped working

In between Win 10 adjustments, I just finished reviewing step 1 of my document. I still have to work on Paragaph 1 of your last message. As to P. 2, I still have to set up OneDrive and the Cloud, not that easy but I have to do it.

What I have been doing is to save my Word docs as PDF in Lap 5. Then I email them to myself. I download the emailed PDF file to lap4 and convert it in the dual PDF converter to Word doc. I can then make certain changes that can only be made in the older
laptop. Sounds complicated but it works. In the past, I used to email the doc as a Word doc and it worked directly in both laptops, even the 60,000-word document. I am going over your suggestions little by little. Many thanks.

 

Pdf to word

Is it possible to transfer bookmarks from PDF when converting to Word? I can see them in the PDF file, but not in the Word Doc.
