    In windows 10, In the 'colors' sub menu under settings-personalization, a field is grayed out


    For no reason that I could see, some of my colors in the start, task bar, and action center have disappeared, and I can't select the option. I always had colors in those areas, but now they are gone, and I don't know how or why. Specifically, in Settings-Personalization-Colors, there is a field under the heading 'Show accent color on the following surfaces', and one of those options you should be able to select is on 'start, taskbar and action center'. However, that option is grayed out, and I don't know how to 'ungray' it so that I can select it.

    Can anybody help?

    Hi,

    We suggest that you follow the steps below to put your settings back to default and see if it helps.

    • Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
    • Click on Personalize.
    • Select Colors.
    • Click on High contrast settings.
    • From the drop-down menu, select None.
    • Click Apply.
    • Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.
