Windows 10: In Windows 11 Chrome Opens as a Tile

I have a user who has a Dell computer. The computer has WIN 11 on it. Chrome is up to date. When the user goes to open Chrome, it will open at the bottom on the taskbar as a tile. If I open Chrome as "administrator" then it opens normally. Chrome will work fine if another user signs in to the same computer. I have tried the following:Restarted the computerClosed Chrome and open it again.Uninstalled it and reinstalled itHow do I fix it under this particular user?

Try these steps please :

Close chrome by pointing to it and then clicking on the cross on the popup view.

Then right click on chrome icon in all apps list

Click on more then on open file location.

In the window that opens right click on chrome icon then click on properties.

In properties panel choose maximized in the dropdown against "run"

Click on apply then ok.

Reopen chrome after this.

No it doesn't. Still a tile only. It is opening chrome just will not enlarge to a window for use. The rest of apps on taskbar open as normal and Bing opens. Eldy

 

chrome will not open

IK reinstalled the KB and a Silverlight update, no luck. I tried to remove chrome , again, using the suggested tool. Chrome was not on the list, I selected not listed. It wanted the product code. A quick internet search did not find it. I removed chrome
using the add and remove programs.,reinstalled chrome and ran the clean up tool, no malware. chrome now opens.. I have signed in and it is working. The second removal worked. thx
