When I switch off my laptop, the screen generally goes black, but the keyboard lights are still on. So I pressed and held the button for a short period of time, and it worked. However, to make sure the laptop was working once more, I turned it on, and after an automatic repair, it failed. I opened the advanced menu and tried each option one at a time, but none of them was successful. All of the startup options—startup repair, startup settings, command prompt, uninstall updates, and UEFI firmware options—did not work. I don't have an external USB, so I simply return to the advanced startup. I t

Advanced Troubleshooting not helping with booting up Windows 10.

    Hi,

The issue that you're having usually happens when a specific process of the system got interrupted. This interruption can lead to system/hardware corruption. Since you were able to access that Advance troubleshooting (Window Recovery), we would like to know
if you have tried choosing the option Safe mode with Networking. If not, we suggest booting from it using the steps below:

    • Go to Advance Troubleshooting.
    • Under Advance options, choose Startup Settings.
    • Choose Enable Safe mode with Networking or press F5.

After successfully booting the computer to it, we suggest running the System File Checker. Kindly follow the steps on this article to perform it:
Using System File Checker in Windows 10. Once done, type chkdsk c: /f
on the Command Prompt then click Enter. Wait for the process to finish, then
    Restart your computer.

Update us with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

How does Windows boot to advanced recovery option e.g. command prompt?

    I have questions for you:
    1. if you open admin command, copy and paste: reagentc /boottore&shutdown /r /f /t 00
Does it boot into recovery ?
    2. Is the disk layout still look like the screen you posted in the other thread with 2 recovery partitions (450MB and 480MB)?

In Windows 11, none of the advanced boot settings function. [IMG]

According to suggestions from the thread, you changed from partitiion 5 to partition 1 with reagentc, which in my opinion is not correct. When you upgrade, windows creates an extra 450MB after C: and put a new Winre.wim there and set it to partition 5 (counting from left to right)

    Hi Sandra,

To help you out with your concern, we suggest that you disable the add-ons in Internet Explorer 11. For step by step instructions, go to this

    link
, then look for the title Turning off and removing add-ons.

We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

    • Go to Internet Explorer then click the Gear icon.
    • Choose Internet options > Advanced.
    • Click Reset.

(Note: If you have added Favorites, back up them first before resetting the browser. )

Should you need further assistance, let us know.

    Regards.
