Windows 10: In Windows 11, the setting for "Screen and Sleep" keeps resetting, How to fix this?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Odyssey laptop with Windows 11 and I have the "Screen and Sleep" setting set as balanced, with the "Plugged in, turn screen off" and the "On battery power, turn screen off" both set as 10 minutes. And the "Plugged in, put device to sleep after" and the "On battery power, put device to sleep after" both set as 20 minutes.However those settings only stay in place until I end up removing the power cord, or connect the power cord. Then the settings reset and the screen turns off after 2 minutes and goes into sleep mode after 5 minutes.I have the Windows 11 completely update

Sleep settings keep resetting

The sleep settings keep resetting on my laptop. Every morning I set all of them to never and when I log in the next morning I have to reset them. They won't save in that setting. This has been going on for a while. There has to be a fix...

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled. I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.

I cannot get a large image, so will type Default REG_SZ (value not set) ShowHibernate REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (0) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing. I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode . Any suggestions? Jim

 

Windows 11 is not sleep or turn off screen

I'm reaching out because I'm encountering an issue with my Windows 11 operating system on My ROG Asus laptop. Specifically, I've noticed that despite configuring the sleep settings in Windows, My laptop does not enter sleep mode or turn off the screen after the designated period of inactivity(but rarely and randomly it does!).

Here are some details about my system:

• Laptop Model: G513
  
• Operating System: Windows 11(22635.3209 Beta Insider)
  

I've tried adjusting the sleep settings through the Control Panel and Power Options, ensuring that the settings are configured correctly to initiate sleep mode after a specified duration of inactivity. However, even after setting these parameters, My laptop remains active indefinitely without entering sleep mode or turning off the screen.

This issue is concerning as it affects the battery life and overall performance of my laptop. I've also checked for any pending updates or driver issues that might be causing this problem, but everything seems to be up to date.

Could you please provide guidance on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue? I would greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions.
