  1. In Windows Explorer, We are trying to get an accurate "Date Accessed"

We are trying to do an excel inventory on a network drive, and we noticed the date accessed sometimes works, sometimes does not. What triggers this? Additionally, we used power BI to pull inventory of folders and this changed the date accessed. Is there a way to revert that? And is there a way to use Power BI so it doesn't update the date accessed?

    :)

File Explorer sort by date not accurate

Um, there is no Date Saved column. There is a Date Created and a Date Modified. In the picture you posted, they are all the same so not an example of dates being different.

On my system, for jpg files, the Date column is the date the picture was taken. If you look at the Properties of the file, Details tab you can see that.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

File Explorer sort by date not accurate

I want to sort my files by Date Descending so the file name shouldn't matter. Here is a screenshot of File Explorer, how does windows get the Generic DATE column and why does that differ from DATE SAVED column? I always assumed they were the same. And thank you for all of your help!
