Windows 10: in xampp port 3306 automatically giving an error whenever I try to open it.

this is the error I've got. I truned off my defender as well. but still I could not open the port

xampp cannot access port 80

In my windows 10 PC use port 80 to the "Internet Information Services". Therefore when I log to the localhost it opens IIS page.

Though I can change my xampp port to the any other port, I want to use port 80 for my xampp version. Because after change my xampp port, I have to face many problems when I design my web page.

Therefore can I change my IIS port to another port.(Since I use windows 10, some old tutorials doesn't work for my pc, So I kindly request a manageable option in windows 10 )

I suggest you check if the TCP 3306 port is in use first. TCP 3306 is MySQL's default port. You should open a CMD prompt and run this command:

Changing the default port of a downloaded app

I have tried to download XAMPP and have issues with getting it to work. Somebody one the XAMPP forum suggested changing the port from 3306 to 3307 in the my.ini file, in the installation folder.

I did that (in Notepad), but Windows would not let me save the changes. It first says do I want to replace the file, when I say yes, it says I don't have administrator privilges.

BS. This is my computer, nobody else uses it. I am logged in as me, there are no other user accounts.

How do open that file and save it as an administrator or get past that Windows feature.
