Windows 10: "inaccessible_boot_device" - PC Won't Boot at All - Black Screen

Hey, guys. Sorry for taking so long to reply.

Honestly, I'm a bit afraid to mess with anything at this point since it finally seems to be working. Would it be a major issue if I just left everything as is and used the PC as normal? 90% of things I plan to download will be portable and I just extract to desktop, so that probably won't cause issue to going to the wrong drives or whatever, right? And everything else I can just tell to install to C and that should be fine, right? But, I suppose if you guys STRONGLY recommend I change the letter and all that, I might do it. I just don't wanna accidentally mess anything up and have to redo installs again like I had to deal with yesterday.

And yeah, I think I will pick up a flash drive, put Windows 10 onto it with the media recovery tool, and just use that to fresh install whenever I need to. Not sure if I should just do a fresh install ASAP or just wait until any issues occur, just in case maybe none will occur and I can use my PC as is for the upcoming years.

 

Okay. Please just verify that your system is activated:

Settings>Update and Security>Activation

So you know you can clean install W10 in the future.

Your machine, your decisions ... Sounds as though you have a plan - run the machine as is, get the Win10 install media and be prepared if any issues do crop up.

One caution, do not attempt to create a new partition - it will prompt you to convert to Dynamic disks -
DO NOT want to answer yes if you ever get this prompt. Hit the cancel button.

Members are always around - stop back if your machine has any issues that you cannot solve on your own. Take a tour of the Tutorial section - cool stuff in there.
