Google account - but cannot find Google group

I have a Google account but cannot find a Google group to which I have been added to a mailing list - it seems absurdly difficult to resolve. Any suggestions welcome.

If you don't care about the account then just forget about it and pretend it doesn't exist. If the account isn't accessed by next year Google will delete the data in it.

BTW, that reminds me that I have several Google accounts so I have to remember to access them once in a while.

I understand that you couldn’t access your Google account in Settings >
E-mail + accounts, and that you did a hard reset of your phone.



You tell us that the problem came back with your phone’s back up restore. This shouldn’t happen, so I am wondering, is your Google account the primary account on your phone ?

If it is the very first one listed in Settings > E-mail + accounts under “add an account”, that would be the primary account on the phone, and that is necessarily a Microsoft account.



It can be tricky because actually you can create a Microsoft account with a Google address.

In that case, the important thing is that you are able to login your account here:

Sign in to your Microsoft account



If what I just wrote is not matching with what you are experiencing, then can you please give us more details about your issue ? Does your problem appear when you add your Google account as a secondary one ?
