  1. Inactive logout forced since 1809 - 17763.316

Since installing 17763.316 any time my machine is inactive, the system auto logs me out!

This is a OLD (32bit) desk top system locked away in my house, with no other persons apt to attack the system and/or do nasty things with or too it. It's main claim to fame is that it is an Apache development webserver, and does see a fair amount of use.

This is a real pain because I auto load PaintShop Pro 9 and it takes for ever to load each time I have to login again.

Any idea where to go to stop this from happening???

    :)

Windows 7 - automatic force logout the user after specific session time (even if user is active)

    Hi,

I am looking for a way to force logout a user after 1 hour of computer usage. This will need to happen even if user is active.

It will be good to have some kind of message pop up on screen 5 minutes before the logout to indicate the user to save the details.

    This is NOT

    • idle time log out
    • Auto screen saver after idle time.
User should be able to login again after entering the password....... and the 1 hour session cycle repeats.

logical steps may be as below.

    1. trigger = user login
    2. counter time - time "system time now + 60 minutes"
    3. trigger 1 = (system clock time = counter time - 5 min)
    4. Action - system message ="you have 5 minutes to save your work. Please save your work to avoid losing it"
    5. trigger 2 = (system clock time = counter time )
    6. Action - Execute logout.exe
I am not programmer and hence the steps mentioned above may not be accurate.

Please help either by guiding me to some of existing ready solutions available in market or a simple code (like time out counter).

    Thanks

Windows 10, Cannot set Logout Timer

    Hi Waltz,

For us to better assist you with your log out timer issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Which build and version of Windows are your running on your computer?
To check, press Windows key + R > type winver
    > hit Enter.

    • "Cannot set Logout Timer" - Do you want to set your computer to auto-shutdown or auto-lock?
    • What steps have your tried to set the logout timer?

We're looking forward to your reply.

    no logout - microsoft account

I'm not really sure what the exact nature of your problem is but you need a Microsoft account setup on the phone to be able to access the store and download apps. The same account is also used to backup content on the phone to your MS account online such
as contacts, pictures & videos (Skydrive), messages and applications list & data.

As Farby suggested, you can tell the phone not to sync emails from this MS account if you want but you cannot remove your MS account for the above stated reasons.
