  1. Inactive pop up window blocking Teams - unable to close

I've been experiencing an intermittent issue when I launch Teams Classic - a pop up window with no text and an inactive button is blocking Teams. There doesn't seem to be any way to close the pop up window, and resetting the application and computer is also not fixing the issue.Understanding that we're moving away from Classic Teams, but I currently cannot even access the toggle to switch to new Teams. This occurring on both my work PC and home PC, both running Windows.Screenshot attached.

  2. ? Block pop-ups in Edge on the phone

    Hello,

Pop-ups or pop-up ads are online advertisement that opens a new browser window when clicked or when the website was accessed. For now, the feature of blocking pop-ups or pop-up ads is available for browsers installed on PC's or desktops.

We request that you file this or up-vote an existing feature suggestion using the Windows Feedback Hub app. To submit a new feedback/suggestion, you can follow the steps provided below:

    • Go to All Apps, search for the Feedback Hub app or press and hold Volume
Down+Power button for about 2-3 secs to launch the Feedback Hub app.
    • Open the menu icon at the top left side.
    • Select Feedback, then at the top right side, tap the add button (+).
    • Select Suggestion and fill up the box with the details needed.
    • Select the right category for the suggestion and then submit.

Should you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.

  3. Block or allow pop-ups in Microsoft Edge (Windows 10)

I’m ashamed to say how many HOURS I spent on finding this solution. I couldn't find it with a Bing search or in the
Microsoft Support site. I started investigating related results, and discovered the following fix while looking into the "Block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge" help screen in
Microsoft Edge Support (which apparently no longer applies to Win10, BTW).

    1. Right-click on the Windows icon (lower-left corner of the screen), then click on
      Settings.
    2. Type "pop" or "block" into the search box on the window that comes up, and select "Block or allow pop-ups" from the suggested entries.
    3. Internet Properties window comes up, with the Privacy tab selected.
Make sure the "Turn on Pop-Up Blocker" checkbox is checked, then click on the
      Settings button
    4. Pop-Up Blocker Settings window comes up. Add [in the "Address of website to allow" box] the URL address of the website for which you want to allow pop-ups, and click on the
Add button (add more addresses if you want, in the same manner).
    5. Click on Close to apply the changes and close the window.
    6. Click on OK in the Internet Properties window to apply the changes and close the window.

  4. Inactive pop up window blocking Teams - unable to close

Internet Explorer 11 randomly blocks all pop-ups with pop-up blocker turned off

    Hi Julie,

Pop-up Blocker limits or blocks pop-ups on sites that you visit. You can choose the level of blocking you prefer, turn on or off notifications when pop-ups are blocked, or create a list of sites that you don't want to block pop-ups on. However, we understand
that it still blocks even if it is turned off. Since restarting Internet Explorer temporarily resolves the issue, we suggest that you reset it instead. Here's how:

    • Close all Internet Explorer windows. Select the Tools button, and then select Internet options.
    • Select the Advanced tab, and then select Reset.
    • In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, select
      Reset
      .
    • When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, select Close, and then select
OK. Restart your PC to apply changes.

Should you want to roll back Internet Explorer to a previous version, you can refer to
    ThrashZone's response at this
    thread
    .

Let us know how it goes.
