Windows 10: Inbox not updating as expected

Discus and support Inbox not updating as expected in Microsoft Office and 365 to solve the problem; My main inbox (btinternet) is rather erratic at updating I have a send & receive group configured to do an automatic send/receive every 5 minutes...     Inbox not updating as expected


    My main inbox (btinternet) is rather erratic at updating
    I have a send & receive group configured to do an automatic send/receive every 5 minutes
    However, it doesn't always update regularly in that there will be nothing for a while and then they all come at once
    In the worse case (which of late has been often) I have to use the 'Update Folder' option to sync emails
    The send & receive group has 6 accounts in total and all are IMAP
    Any ideas?

    The two-step verification emails show up in my inbox but I added a rule to mark the domain name safe a long time ago (verified that "techpowerup.com" is still in the safe sender list).

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    Inbox settings

    Yes it is definately outlook 2007.

    When I go to settings the inbox is listed along with other options, but there is no checkbox alongside it
