Windows 10: Incompatible drivers prevent using Memory integrity

Under Device Security, I'm getting this message "incompatible drivers prevent using Memory integrity" I cannot find anything that shows you how to resolve this problem. Any ideas?

Deleting driver files in System 32 folder are coming up as incompatible and preventing memory integrity being turned on

Hi Ramesh - thanks for the suggestion. They did disappear from the Aotoruns list when I deleted them. However, they're still present on the system and coming up as incompatible drivers and preventing Memory Integrity being turned back on.

Designed to protect the operating system core (kernel) from malware attacks through hardware virtualization. It prevents malware from modifying the system kernel or critical drivers by isolating the kernel and drivers in a protected memory area using virtualization technology.



Incompatible drivers can prevent the use of memory integrity for the following reasons



1. Memory Integrity requires that all drivers loaded into the kernel must support and be compatible with virtualization technology. If the drivers are not compatible, it may cause the system to become unstable or crash. Therefore, to ensure system stability and reliability, Windows prevents incompatible drivers from loading, thus preventing memory integrity from being enabled.



2. If a driver is incompatible, it may mean that it has not passed strict security validation and testing. This may expose the system to potential security vulnerabilities. Therefore, to prevent insecure drivers from compromising the security of the system, Windows prevents these drivers from loading.



3. Memory integrity relies on hardware virtualization technologies (such as Intel VT-x or AMD-V). Incompatible drivers may not be able to handle these virtualization technologies correctly, resulting in the system not being able to properly enable the Memory Integrity feature.
