Windows 10: Inconsistency between my storage shown in drive and the apps have

he storage my windows shows to me and the apps i have and their storage there is an inconsistency between it. I used geekuninstaller to see how much storage my apps were taking only baout 30.1 gb but in windows it shows i have only 98.9 gb os storage lefti have 500gbs .

The the detail of the storage used shown by the screen Settings\System\Storage\Other does not add to the total.

The total storage shown is 3.36 GB. The detail list a much smaller amount of storage. I need hard drive space and want to delete whatever is in the 3.36 GB.

 

Hard Drive Storage

I have a 500Gb Hard Drive, running Windows 10 Pro version 1909. My c drive is nearly full, I have checked every area on the pc and nothing adds up to the 486Gb I'm supposed to have available. I have gone to Settings > System > Storage - it shows that 401Gb
is being taken up by Apps and features but when I click on this and show the list of installed apps with their sizes, I have added up the entire list and it comes to 25Gb total. It doesn't show what's eating up the rest of the 400Gb of space. I have deleted
everything I can and have only been able to free up 11Gb so far so my c drive is still showing red. At this point is the only other step to reload the pc, or does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be and how to fix?

Hard Drive Storage

Hi William,

In Windows 10, you can change the default Save location for apps, documents, music, picture and video files to another drive or partition. You can follow the steps below to change the default Save location:

• If your Windows 10 version is 1703 and later, go to Start Menu
  > Settings > System settings
  > Storage> Change where new content is saved.

• Otherwise, go to Start Menu > Settings
  > System settings > Storage.
