Windows 10: Inconsistent BSOD with no hope in sight...

Hello all, First, thank you for taking the time to answer my question and help. Over the past 3-4 months, I have been trying to understand why my computer is having sporatic and inconsistent Blue Screens of death. I have tried to do a ton of research to help with this, but it has always left me chasing circles in things that quite frankly, I do not understand. Below, you will find my system data and some of the codes that are coming up in the errors list of the Event Viewer. I should note a couple of things. First, this happened after I moved to a new place. My computer did not have any issues

Configure the 'Block at First Sight' feature?

Windows Defender has this feature called Block at First Sight.
Does this need to be set in Group Policy or could it be set in the Windows Defender Security GUI app?
If so, please explain the steps.

I know I have the Cloud protection enabled in the Defender app, but I don't see Block at First Sight setting.

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

 

theme inconsistancy on Mango!

phone: HTC Titan windows phone 7.5



Hi all

I just noticed that there is an annoying inconsistency regarding how some application deal with the theme!. Namely:

• Emails (whatever email inbox you use)
• office hub
• games hub

These application ALWAYS use the "light background" theme no matter what theme i Choose!

the question is: is this a buggy behaviour? a design mistake? or intentional inconsistency which is tasteless and not smart???
