Windows 10: Inconsistent network issues only on my computer

I’ve started having this problem around a month or two ago. It usually starts with me playing a game. Today it was Tf2 i logged on and joined a game and INSTANT lag. i thought it was just the server i was on so i relogged to no avail. After leaving Tf2 to go and play another game I notice that i’m having really bad rubberbanding and lag issues. Sometimes these issues won’t reflect in my ping and will simply just make my computer slow. This also applies to browser searches as well. Inconsistent Computer Visibility Across Win10 Network

Your question has been asked many times over the last few years. I have yet to see a solution that works for everyone. I am still plagued by that problem. I have come up with a workaround that at least lets me access all my computers even when they don't show up in Network. Here is what I did: 1. Create folder next to Network called My Network

2. Open folder and create shortcut to each compute in my home network

Note: to create a shortcut to a computer 1. Right-click and select New > Shortcut 2. For Target use the format \\YourComputerName

I worked all this out for a Win7-WinXP direct ethernet computer-to-computer network and later amended it for a Win7-Win7 network.

You can use a crossover cable but do not have to.
Doing this in Windows 10 is just about the same as doing it in Windows 7 but some diagrams look different & you have to look around for the equivalent settings in some cases.

But I suggest you do yourself a favour and get a router so that it does all the hard work for you.
