    Incorrect account information under settings.

When I go to settings, it shows my wife's name and email account. I read a previous message about this from 2022 which did not have a final solution. I've tried to manage the account to update it with mine, but I cannot change it. I've logged into my microsoft account and it does not show my wife's info, just mine. Settings/account "Your info" shows my name but my wife's email account. There are no other users listed under Family members and Other users. Why is the information wrong and how do I correct it? Thank you.

    :)

  2. Incorrect Personal Information needs to be corrected

Do you have a number that I can call to get help correcting my profile information? None of the suggestions made are working and setting up another user account as suggested has made the problem worse. All I need to do is correct my original account birthdate that was incorrect submitted and changed when setting up a new pc.

Settings can't be opened using the built-in administrator account

    Hello,
Unfortunately I have the same issue as Dabz from upgrading win7 to win10.
I've tried opening settings using all the suggested methods and it will not load using my account with Administrator access nor the built-in Administrator profile. I also tried other methods not listed such as using Run. Control panel is just a stepping stone to add users in Settings.
I'm also having explorer.exe issues, which I believe is preventing Settings from loading.
Using cmd (Admin) I successfully created a new user profile [and granted admin access also using cmd (Admin)], however win10 will not allow this account to log on. win10 does not list this new user within control panel but it does in the start menu. win10 will not allow to log in or switch to the new account via the start menu either.
I can access settings in Safe Mode but this will not allow me to create a new account.
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

Incorrect information comes up in Settings

Hmm.. I don't see any screenshot.. but you did provide some more helpful information.

Are you saying the email listed in "Settings > Accounts > Your Info" is a child account? If so, that is very tricky as you will have limited admin access to do what we need to do.

If not, see if it allows you to do this: On Settings > Accounts > Your info, do you have the option "Sign in as a local user instead"? If so, click on that, go through the rest of the steps. Restart the computer back up, then come back to this settings page. This time, click on "Sign in with a microsoft account". Go ahead and set it up with the correct email this time. Then one more restart and that should take care of it.
