Windows 10: Incorrect colours being shown, only for certain programs. Greens=Blue, Yellows=Purple

My monitor suddenly turned black and I had to restart my computer to get it to turn back on. When it did, colours were no longer being displayed correctly in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Everywhere else colours appear normal but in my browsers; Blues are Green, Greens are Blue, Yellows are Magenta, Magentas are Yellow. Though Red is still Red and Cyan is still Cyan. When using the snip tool to copy an image it corrects the colours on the created file, when using print screen it copies the wrong colours that are actually being displayed.I've had this issue happen before on other Windows 10

The colour yellow has been replaced with the colour green

Accouple of days ago, I noticed my colours were a bit "odd".

Then I watched a Simpsons episode and everyone was now green instead of their normal yellow.

I then tested other episodes of the Simpsons and they were all green. (Not an issue with a corrupt/damaged video file.)

If I use PLEX to watch the Simpsons episode on another device, yellow is still the normal yellow.

When I Google the colour yellow, green colours are displayed. (Not a video playback issue.)

I have two monitors (Panasonic plasma and a LG Flatron) that both show yellow as green. (Not a faulty monitor.)

I have reset the basic standard Windows 10 theme, but that didn't help. (Not looking like a bad Windows colour setting.)

I have rebooted in Safe Mode and Low RES mode, but that didn't help.



I have swapped out the old video card, uninstalled the old video drivers and software and replaced it with a different make/model with all the newest drivers for GTX 1050, but the colour yellow is still appearing as green. (Not the graphics card.)

There is no video port on the motherboard, so I can't try just the "no frills" motherboard option.

I have played with the hue setting, which made then green turn into a green & gold colour, but al the other colours had a purple tint.

Is this a Windows 10 issue? (Not keen on rebuilding my pc on the off chance that it might work.)

Or

Is this a hardware issue on the motherboard? (The BIOS setting look normal enough, but I not a system tech.) Should I do a BIOS reset in the hope of correcting the colour issue?

Windows Update tells me that everything is correct.

Colour management used to be such a simple issue before it was "improved".
