Windows 10: Incorrect discount eligibility cannot be removed

    Incorrect discount eligibility cannot be removed


    I can't believe I've wasted so much of my time on the phone to Microsoft this morning trying to do the right thing even though it may cost me more next time I'm buying something, and Microsoft simply refuse to help!The Microsoft Store has incorrectly decided I'm entitled to the student/NHS/military discount, when I am not. I do not want to defraud Microsoft or risk them coming after me for the price difference down the line, but there is no way to tell the store it is wrong, I am not eligible.I saw another question on this website about this and after a few messages back and forth the discussi

    Remove student eligibility

    Microsoft Store thinks I'm eligible for Student and Armed Forces discount. I'm not. Much as I'd appreciate a discount, I don't want one under false pretences. How do I tell Store I'm not eligible? It must happen when students graduate or when people leave
    the forces, but how?

    Military and Student discounts will be applied to your account if you have a qualifying military email and/or a student email. Are you a student who recently graduated or a military personnel who recently left the service? If you really feel that you're not
    eligible for a discount, you may reach out to them by using the Get Help app that you can find on the Windows Start Menu by pressing the Start button.
