Windows 10: Incorrect password

Discus and support Incorrect password in Windows Hello & Lockscreen to solve the problem; I am trying to login to my laptop that I have owned for 2 years, and I for some reason am being told the password is incorrect.     Incorrect password


    I am trying to login to my laptop that I have owned for 2 years, and I for some reason am being told the password is incorrect. I made sure caps lock was turned off, and tried rebooting, so I'm not sure whats going on. Its also offering to have me sign in using a pin, but theres no box where I can type that in?

    The Password is Incorrect

    I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.

    How do I get out of safe mode so I can reset my settings?

    1. Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
    2. Type msconfig and press Enter.
    3. In the window, click on Boot tab.
    4. uncheck Safe boot, click on Apply and Ok. Restart
    Not sure why it started in Safe mode. May have been out of sync with your phone from prev incorrect password. See if restart fixes. At least, you know what your universal MS password is. *Wink
