Windows 10: Increasingly common BSOD on W10 - wdiwifi.sys failed

Since December of 2021, I have been occasionally getting BSODs with the same error messages each time:Stop Code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLEDWhat failed: wdiwifi.sysIn the past few days, these crashes seem to have become increasingly more common. I have gotten two more crashes in the past three days, which is a huge increase compared to the previous two which were over half a year apart. So you suggest to run verifier on WiFi driver ?

What should I expect to get? will it create a report or cause a BSOD?

Do you suggest taking the following path in verifier?

Create standard setting -> select driver name from a list ->

than choose only the Intel Wifi driver OR only wdiwifi from microsoft OR both ?

wdf.01000.sys BSOD

I've been struggling with BSOD for the longest time, and one of the common error related files is "wdf.01000.sys." Can anyone assist me in settling this issue?

Okay, so you've got the files from the ISO extracted to your desktop, and you see the setup.exe file, correct?
You should be able to double-click setup.exe and the upgrade will begin. There is no "auto run" involved in this step, so I don't understand where that error came from.

Edit: Did you run the System File Checker (sfc /scannow) to make sure your Windows 7 system files are intact, as suggested in the tutorial?

A chkdsk on your hard drive may be in order.

1. Click Start
2. Type: CMD, from the results, right-click CMD
3. Select Run as Administrator
4. At the Command Prompt, type: chkdsk /r

(Notice the space between the k and /)

When you restart your system, your hard drive will be scanned for errors and attempts will be made to correct them.
