  2. Why are my games incredibly laggy and have extremely low fps after the recent windows update on 4/14?

even programs like steam are incredibly laggy now too.

  3. Windows 11 PC Incredibly laggy

Whenever trying to do anything on my windows desktop, (32GB DDR5, a good CPU, and no graphics card) the monitors (both of them) are always incredibly framey. I've checked task manager, and see normal usage. I used to be able to play games at 75fps no problem. Changing the monitors to 60fps doesn't fix it. Even the mouse is super laggy sometimes on the desktop with no apps open.

It had been working fine about a week and a half ago. I tried reinstalling windows to see if it would fix it, nothing changed. I'm not sure why this is happening, but it's very concerning and making this computer almost useless to do anything.

  4. Incredibly laggy after a while of using

My desktop is incredibly laggy, but there seems to be no reason for it to be so slow.

So basically what the title says, my desktop is incredibly laggy. I just upgraded to windows 11, but I had the same issue when I had windows 10. The strange thing is that I can play hardware intensive games or run software at high framerates, and the only slow part of my pc is the damn desktop. It's just annoying but not really getting in my way, but I'd still like to fix it.

A video I recorded a bit ago of the issue

I tested my RAM with memtest86 and there weren't any issues, I have a 1tb m.2 drive that functions properly and my CPU is running as it should. But as I said I don't think it is a hardware issue since I can play graphically intensive games at high framerates while there are multiple other programs running in the background.

I'd like to emphasize that none of the programs on my computer / windows apps run slowly.

    Below are my specs.

    • Ryzen 5 5600x
    • RTX 3070Ti
    • ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E gaming (wifi)
    • Samsung 980 1Tb
    • 3600Mhz corsair 2 x 8gb
My PC is not overheating, restarting windows explorer doesn't help, I don't have a lot of background processes. Please help.
