    Incredibly slow internet on my Windows 10 PC ONLY


    I'm starting to lose my mind.

    For months now, I've been experiencing slow internet speeds for some sites (e.g. GitHub, AWS, Twitch). Others are fine (e.g. YouTube). Possibly sites that don't have local (South African) servers are problems? My line speed is 100 Mbps but I only get a max speed of 370 KB/s on the problem sites.

    After I downloaded Windows 10 pro, downloading anything from the internet is incredibly slow or I loose connection completely. Please advise.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
