Windows 10: Indexing keep getting paused for no apparent reason

Hi,I have a new Galaxy Book2 Pro with Windows 11 installed.The file indexing keeps pausing for no apparent reason.The only way to un-pause it is go to the Services window and restart Windows Search.When I restart the search service, the indexing starts working again, but a few hours later it's paused again for no reason.If I don't restart the service, the indexing never starts again on its own I tried keeping it like this for a few days, and it never started, so it looks like something is definitely wrong.Any ideas on how to fix this?

System conflict is one of the possible reasons why the index built will not function properly. We suggest running the Search and Indexing troubleshooter by following these steps to resolve your issue:

• Open Control Panel.
• In the search box, type troubleshooting.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Click on View all.
• Select Search and Indexing and select the proper scenario that you are experiencing on indexing and click
  Next for the troubleshooting to begin.

Indexing off and cannot get it back on

Thank you for posting your response.

We appreciate the time and effort that you have invested in to fix the issue. I would suggest that you return the settings back to
Local System Account from This Account under
Log on tab and perform the steps below.

• Rebuild the Windows Search Index and check. Refer to these steps. This can be used if you are able to go through the
  Indexing Options in Control Panel.
• On the search bar type Indexing Options and click on it.
• Click the Advanced button at the bottom of the
  Indexing Options window. This displays a new window titled Advanced Options.
• Click the Index Settings tab if it isn’t selected already.
• Click the Rebuild button to delete and rebuild the file index.
• Click OK to confirm.

Automatically pause indexing when on battery power?

Hi Mike,

We understand that you want your PC to automatically pause indexing when using the battery power.

Windows 10 only has the "Prevent indexing when running on battery power to conserve energy" option in the
Local Group Policy Editor. You can follow these steps on how to enable it:

• Type gpedit.msc in the Cortana search field, then select
  Edit group policy from the results.
  
• Click Local Computer Policy from the left pane, then
  Computer Configuration.
  
• Click Administrative Templates, then Windows Components.
  
• Select Search.
  
• Locate and double-click "Prevent indexing when running on battery power to conserve energy" from the right pane.
  
• Tick Enable, then click OK.
