Windows 10: Indexing not working in some windows folders / Can't scroll through multiple jpegs in same...

I use Dropbox for Desktop for work. I recently noticed it could have been going on for a while now that I can't search for files or folders within Dropbox and some of my personal files either on the C: drive. Same as others have noticed, they can see files with the search term, but the search with said term brings up "no items match this search". I also don't have the ability to use the arrow keys to sift through jpegs that exist together in a single folder. I can do it in a linked server, but not in 90% of my local folders.I already reset my index and I was able to both search for files and

OneDrive no longer in list of folders to index in "Indexing Options"

Dear All,

After an Windows update today, OneDrive folder is no longer listed as a folder available for indexing in the "Indexing Options" control panel.

I have tried restarting, deleting the index, unlinking PC from OneDrive and relinking.

Any suggestions?

Indexing is not working

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

This issue may occur due to corrupt Windows search files or settings. I suggest you to follow the below method and check if it helps.

Method 1: I would suggest you to run search and indexing troubleshooter
and check. Please follow these steps:

• 
  Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar.
  
• 
  Click troubleshooting in the search results.
  
• 
  Click "View all" and then click "Search and Indexing".
  
• 
  Click "Next" and follow on-screen instructions.
  

Method 2: Check if Indexing and Windows Search services are enabled. If not, enable them, if they are already enabled, then disable Windows Search Service and then enable again and restart.

  Press Windows key + R.
  
• 
  Type services in the run box, go to the Windows search services and restart them.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
