Windows 10: Informed by update that I could download and install Windows 11, but could not...

Monday, Oct. 25th, I was informed by Windows Update that I could download and install Windows 11. Countless times I tried. It would download no more than 8%, stop, and eventually just go back to telling me I could download it. On Tuesday, Oct. 26th, update no longer told me I could download it but eventually it would be available to me. What is going on???

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

your suggestion worked. I deleted the information in the download cached and when I started the pc this p.m. there were no updates needed to be installed.
I would also like to thank Frick and Kursah for helping me. Even though their ideas did not fix my update issue, their information they gave me will help me in the future of things to check in the process of elimination.

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
