Windows 10: Inherited Activation - Windows Enterprise E3

I have Windows 10 version 1803. I would like configure VDA for Windows 10 supscription.

What subscription is required to Inherited Activation work Windows Enterprise E3 (local only) or Windows Enterprise E3 VDA ? Do I need additional buy license Windows 10 Pro for VM?

Windows 10 Enterprise E3 Activation via Azure AD?

Windows 10 Enterprise E3 and E3 activate automatically and upgrade automatically when you authenticate using your Azure AD credentials. Once your E3 license expires, it downgrades to Pro automatically.

The first thing you need to ensure you can use Enterprise E3 is the version of Windows 10 installed.

The feature is limited to subscribers of Microsoft’s Enterprise Windows 10 E3 and Windows 10 E5 subscription service. In other works, if your eligible Windows 10 Enterprise host installation is activated, then virtual machine running on the machine will also be activated.

Additionally

Since you have Windows 10 Professional, and you do not have an E3 or E5 subscription, you will be unable to use this feature. In your case, a Windows 10 VM, would need it’s own license.

If you had an eligible installation of Windows 10 Enterprise, you would have to use Hyper-V (or Azure VM but I am not entirely sure) not VirtualBox (I know for a fact VirtualBox VMs are not applicable), in order for the guest OS to be automatically activated.
