    Inline mic not working


    I bought an audio cable with an inline mic, and it's not working with my laptop. my laptop has a single jack, with a headset symbol next to it. and the mic is not even listed in the control panel > hardware and sound > sound > recording. the problem is not with my mic because it works just fine with my phone.

    Inline mic of headphones not working

    Hello,

    I have I5 6402p processor and 8gb ddr4 2133mhz ram and motherboard Gigabyte GA H110m DS2 CF.

    My headphones work fine on the pc but the inline microphone does not work with the pc due to some reason. Earlier I had USB headphones with mic and they worked fine with the mic but the inline mic does not work.

    I have tried updating my audio driver which is Realtek 6.0.1.8648 and that's the latest version of driver I could find on gigabyte website. I have tried going to sound control panel and enabling the hidden recording device and that does not work either.

    I have tried the goto device manager uninstall the Realtek driver then detect changes and that does not work either.

    The mic works fine on call on the phone but not on pc. Please send help.

    Also, I am using Windows 10 pro 17134.648

    wired headset inline mic doesn't work with phone

    My first thought is that it is an issue with either LG or the headset itself. I have used a wired setup with inline mic with WM6.1 and have had no issues. The purpose of an inline mic is to avoid having to bring the phone to your mouth so with that said,
    I would ask if you have tried the headset on a different phone (not an Incite) to see if it works?

    - You mention 'inline' mic. Does the headset use a single jack with three rings, or a separate jack for mic and headphone ?

    Have you tried the different Recording Device settings in your Realtek HD Audio Manager ? The Realtek settings vary with different

    motherboard mfg's, but there should be an option to either 'tie up' or 'separate' the output. I believe each suit different

    mic\headphone jack types.

    - In addition to a mic level setting in Windows Sound, there may also be a mic level setting in Audio Manager that has not been

    turned up.
