Windows 10: input devices reset and pc passes when i hold caps???

i noticed a few days ago my pc started randomly pausing and my keyboards lights and mouse lights would turn off but as i was playing a game today i opened the map with caps and after a few seconds of holding caps my pc paused and my devices reset so i tried it a few more times and its either an insane coincidence or my pc and inputs seem to pause while or after i hold caps for a few seconds?

Power cycle your device. Here are the steps:

• Force shutdown your computer by pressing and holding the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds.
• Remove all the attached cables for 2 minutes then put them back on.

If the same thing happens, we suggest that you perform the reset again.

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".

 

KEYBOARD RESETS CONSTANTLY TO CAPS & NOT WORKING PROPERLY

2. Have you checked the issue in safe mode?

3. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

4. Do you have all updates installed?

5. Is Caps lock key turned on or even though its turned off keyboard still stuck on Caps?



I suggest you to install any pending updates on the pc and check. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

Follow the steps below and check if it helps.
1. Press Windows + X keys and click Control panel.

2. Open “Languages” and select “Advanced Settings”.

3. Click on “Change language bar hot keys” option under “Switching input methods”

4. Select “Advanced key settings” options from “Text services and input languages” window.

5. Here you will find the settings to release/disable the CAPS lock option by pressing shift keys.

I also suggest op to uninstall and reinstall keyboard drivers and check if issue persist.
