Windows 10: Input is not supported - error on Monitor

I have connected two laptops with HDMI splitter. For my surface laptop 2, I have usb-c to hdmi cable going into the splitter. I recently bought Onn 34 " monitor it does not connect to surface laptop 2 showing 'input not supported'. On laptop 2, i can only have refresh rate of 60 HZ but monitor is up to 100 Hz. It works with my existing 24" monitor. Any help is appreciated.

Following up on your concern about the error The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1366x768@60 Hz or any other monitor listed time as per the monitor specifications. How did
it go after trying DaveM121's suggestion?

 

Monitor - No Input Signal

So you are suggesting that in the event this cable goes for a six, I try out the HDMI port? Seems quite a tenable suggestion - I never thought of that!

 

Input not supported, but the resolution and refresh are correct...

The main monitor is running off displayport
The second, working, monitor is running off of the white cable with an adapter
The third, not working, monitor is running off the blue cable with an adapter

I set the third monitor to 1600x900 through windows options (because nvidia didnt list 16x9) and its still not working

Whenever I press the OSD button on the third monitor, it cycles the inputs (dvi and vga) and then goes right back to the "input not supported" screen.

I had taken the second monitors video cable and plugged it into the third monitor and it worked fine
Taking the 3rd monitors video cable and switching it to the second working monitor, and produced the same error.
