Windows 10: Input not supported error

Hi,My monitor is Acer KA242Y and when my PC is booted into Windows 11, everything is working fine. Also when I boot my PC, I should see the AsRock logo on my monitor and then the computer should boot into Windows. However, my monitor does not show the AsRock logo and instead of this, it shows “Input not supported” and when my PC has already booted into Windows, everything is shown on my monitor as normal. I use HDMI and I also updated the BIOS but the problem is still there. Can I ask for help? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi,

Following up on your concern about the error The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1366x768@60 Hz or any other monitor listed time as per the monitor specifications. How did
it go after trying DaveM121's suggestion?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Monitor - No Input Signal

So you are suggesting that in the event this cable goes for a six, I try out the HDMI port? Seems quite a tenable suggestion - I never thought of that!
