Windows 10: Inputting photos from memory card

This has stopped working. Can anyone help, please ?

In the past I was able to choose which photos I wanted to add to my files

More recently I have had to find them in a DCIM file

Now I cannot find anything, not even the drive that the memory card is in.

Import photos from SD Card in Photo Gallery using Autoplay

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Type Autoplay Settings in the Search box and press Enter.
• Under Choose Autoplay defaults, select the option required from the drop down list for
  Removable drive and Memory card and close the Window.
• Restart the system and check for status.

I suggest you to try importing the photos using photo app as below and check if it helps.

• In the search box type photo.
• Click on the photo app.
• On the right hand top corner click on import option.
• Before that you need to plug in SD card where you have saved the photos.

Read camera memory card

I have a Pentax Optio 330RS camera. I should be able to connect the camera to my HP Envy15 laptop by cable to download the photos on the memory card or from the camera's internal memory to the laptop. It doesn't work and I suspect that the camera's software is not compatible with Windows 10 ( v1809) on the laptop. Can anyone confirm this and perhaps suggest a way I can read the camera's memory card?
