Windows 10: Inquiry about bitlocker recovery key

Hello, I've been trying to call the Microsoft regarding about the bitlocker recovery key, I'm using my education email for Microsoft softwares, and I just only bought my laptop which is a year plus and currently it is locked by itself and it's requiring a bitlocker recovery key which I tried to take from my education email and still it's not going through at all. I went to the laptop shop at where I bought, they told me to contact the Microsoft and get a code or worse come worse I have to reformat my whole laptop including my HARD DISKS! please say something on how to recover this issue, I tri
