Windows 10: inserting oem product key in vmware question

if i buy unused legal OEM product key from 3rd party website, can i insert unused legal OEM product key in vmware?

I don't think so - I tried to sell a stack of OEM discs with no keys and MS threw a fit, so eBay deleted my listing. Try craigslist instead.

I have a question about OEM product key and Windows 10

Hi I just want to ask a follow up question the product key I have for Windows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit is a OEM product key and my Windows 10 is retail meaning I downloaded it off the microsoft website. As far as I know I don't believe you can use a OEM product
key to activate a retail version of Windows. And I am not going to buy a retail version of Windows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit just keep that mind. So far I have a Windows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit OEM disc with a product key only for OEM and my current operating system that
is Windows 10 Pro 32 bit HOWEVER IT IS NOT OEM IT IS A RETAIL COPY.
