    No auto USB insert

    Try turning on AutoPlay in Setting again.

    Turn On or Off AutoPlay in Windows 10

    This works for me, File Explorer opens on inserting a USB....

    Auto open in Windows Explorer when USB drive is inserted

    I upgraded to the latest version of Window 10 (1709) and lost the auto open of USB drives. I checked the auto open settings and it indicates open in Windows Explorer. Has the feature been eliminated or am I missing some setting?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
