Windows 10: [INSIDER] No text input in UWP apps in build 18305.1003, can't post on feedback hub.

Yesterday I updated to this build (18305.1003) on my HP Envy x360 bq100-nl. I noticed that typing in the Start screen did not bring up the search page anymore, so I thought it was a change in the search system. Later I discovered that also Microsoft Edge did not accept any input in the address bar, like every other UWP application. Since I can't post this issue on the feedback hub, I have to write here.


Using alternative input methods, such as the pen or the touch keyboard, doesn't solve this problem. Input on classic programs works regularly, so the keyboard seems to be working. I only managed to make one search in the Start screen shortly after the PC booted up, but I can't replicate that anymore. The previous build (18305) was fine and I had no issues with the keyboard.


Also, I can't find the language indicator in the task bar at the bottom left of my screen that showed with a two or three-letter code which language I was using (I had three languages set, and I could switch between them by pressing Start + spacebar).

Sorry to be posting here, but I can't use the feedback hub because of this problem.


Has anyone else encountered this problem?

• Do you remember when was the last time you were able to use the feedback hub?
• Did you receive any error message when you open feedback hub?
• Have you already tried updating your Windows Insider version?
• What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

OK and read the feedback. Using Google I found this comment.



I believe that Insider and production/retail feedback is separate, yeah (since the issues and feature requests ppl have will be different depending on if you're on insider or prod builds)’
