Windows 10: Insider Preview 10.0.25314.1010 fails -install error 0xc1900101

I am running a multiboot UEFI PC with 3 startup systems on separate disks on the boot menu at boot all Windows 11. Tried to update one system that is in the Dev channel. It downloaded and seemed to install the update fine and asked for reboot. It showed some updates progressing and then rebooted to the Bootloader menu with all of the options renamed "Windows 11" - who knows which is which - and stayed on the screen with "Windows Recovery" highlighted. It never progressed usually defualt is 60 seconds until I hit enter, when recovery manager reversed the changes successfully thank goodness

• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the

Update to Windows Insider Preview 20236 failing with error 0xC1900101-0x40017

I've tried to update several times my windows installation to Insiders Preview 20236.

However, installation rolls back after first reboot, with the following error code (from SetupDiag)

Error: SetupDiag reports rollback failure found.

Last Phase = Post First Boot

Last Operation = Ensure suspended services are stopped

Error = 0xC1900101-0x40017

I've uninstalled all unsigned/third party drivers with pnputil and disabled all non-microsoft services (clean boot), but setup keeps failing with the same error.
