    You must be signed in as an administrator to turn on or off start Magnifier automatically before login for all users.

    1. Open Settings, and click/tap on the Ease of Access icon.

    2. Click/tap on Magnifier on the left side, and check (on) or uncheck (off - default) Start Magnifier automatically before login for all users for what you want on the right side under Magnifier options. (see screenshot below)

    1. Do step 2 (on) or step 3 (off) below for what you would like to do.


    2. To Turn On Start Magnifier Automatically before Login for All Users
    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    3. To Turn Off Start Magnifier Automatically before Login for All Users
    NOTE: This is the default setting.
    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

    5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

    6. If prompted, click on Run, OK (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

    7. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

    • Go to “settings” and click on “ease of access”.
    • Then under the “magnifier” option “turn off” it.

    Or also you can press the keys “Windows+Esc” and the magnifier will be closed.

    Windows 10 update broke MS magnifier

    Hello,

    To fix the issue with Magnifier, we suggest to turn it off and turn on your Magnifier. Here are the steps below:

    • Press Start key.
    • Click Settings.
    • Select and click, Ease of Access.
    • Select and click, Magnifier.
    • Under Magnifier in the right pane, click off/on.

    You may also try to Run Magnifier as administrator. If you don't know how, follow the steps below:

    • Press Start key.
    • Type Magnifier.
    • Right-click Run as administrator.
    • If there's a pop-up about User Account Control, you have to type your
      Username and Password to continue.
    • Click Yes.

    Let us know what happened.

    Turn off auto-login?

    To stop the automatic log-in, please follow the
    auto-login to windows steps listed here
    , except when you get to the point to automatically login, check the box instead. That'll turn it off.

    If you want to remove the extra account, you can also do that using the same steps (just click the "remove" button).

    And finally, if you want to go back to Windows 8.1, get the Windows 8.1 install files

    PS. You cannot ever delete the account with the actual name of "administrator" or you will ruin your computer.
