Windows 10: Install error - 0x800f081f on "quality" update December 12, 2023—KB5033375

I've seen others complaining about this - I'm at the "reinstall windows step" after everything else available online did not. Just checking if you acknowledge this and will fix it in a future update before going the extreme hassle of a reinstall.

IMPORTANT Because of minimal operations during the Western holidays and the upcoming new year, there won’t be a non-security preview release for the month of December 2023. There will be a monthly security release for December 2023. Normal monthly servicing for both security and non-security preview releases will resume in January 2024.

 

2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2, Install error - 0x800f081f

Hi,

The 2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 update on Dell Laptop fails with error code 0x800f081f.

Appears to download ok, then gets to 100% Installed, but doesnt appear to complete, then says 'Retry'.

CBS.log contains some SXS, CSI and CBS errors. No idea what they mean:

Hello david, I also having a issue regarding the installing of windows 11 update
2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5033375) - Installation error - 0x80070020
and
2023-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5032007) Installation error - 0x80070020
Please help me how do I fix this, its been a weeks since I just got this update :< thankyou
