When I open an appx file, I see this message.

After last W10 update, Build 187, I have in Event Viewer several errors related to AppReadiness.

 

install failed. please contact your software vendor

Hi, my laptop was automatically updated to windows 10 Pro and i have encountered several issues so far. I cant even use my laptop as usual.

1) failing to open a pdf file. the message ' install failed. please contact your software vendor' appeared.

I have already had adobe installed. If i open the program adobe first and then choose the pdf file i wish to open, it works.

Hence i tried control panel->programe->default programe ....but when i tried clicking 'associate a file type or protocol with a program', there was no response at all !!

2) My start button at the left bottom taskbar in not responding at all

3) when i go into file explorer, the search bar is not functioning at all

Desktop icons/shortcuts won’t connect to net. Message Install failed, contact software vendor

Hi, when I click on a desktop icon, such as Facebook or Googe, I get a popup window saying “Install failed. Contact software vendor”. I cannot connect to the web although my connection is fine.
