Install failure Win10 pro 64 retail

In December I built a new computer and tried to install Win10 pro 64 retail on it using the USB flash drive I bought from New Egg. I kept getting a problem message "stop code: PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA" "What failed: WimFsf.sys". I had a friend take it to his work where he managed to load the Win 10 that they use on their machines. I want to reinstall windows, but I am still getting that error. I am using "USB: KDI-MSFTWindows 10PMAP". I have also tried the UEFI choice in the boot device window, but it fails differently. My current install is not damaged by these attempts.

I tried getting help via the Microsoft support site, but the only choice that would not through me into a loop is this.

  2. Win7 Pro Upgrade 32 to Win10 Pro 64

    Hello,

I have a PC which originally had Win Vista Business 32-bit, upgraded to Win7 Professional 32-bit, then did a clean install to Win10 Pro 64-bit using the installation media provided on Microsoft's website. I was unable to use my 32-bit keys to activate Win10
Pro 64-bit. After some research, it seems I needed to upgrade from Win7 Professional 32-bit to Win10 Pro 32-bit using Windows Update or installation media, then take that key and write it down and use it later when I do a clean install of Win10 Pro 64-bit.

Before the clean install I used a program to find my product key for Win7 Pro 32-bit and wrote it down. If I wanted Win10 Pro 64-bit it seems I'd have to do another clean install of Win7 Pro 32, upgrade to Win10 Pro 32, then clean install Win10 Pro 64. Instead
of doing this time consuming task, is there some way I can get a key from Microsoft for Win10 Pro 64 bit, provided I have proof of my keys? The PC is currently running Win10 Pro 64-bit and is not activated.

    Thanks

  3. Can I upgrade OEM Win10 Home to Retail Win10 Pro?

Moving to a new PC that I'm building myself. Currently running Dell OEM Win10 Home. New PC will have Win10 Pro, MSDN (multi-activation or retail keys) version.

My backup software can do a "system transfer" that will allow me to transfer everything (OS and applications) to the new computer.

Should I upgrade from OEM Home to MSDN Pro on the old computer and then transfer everything to the new computer?

Or just install Win10 PRO MSDN on the new computer and use the backup software vendor's application transfer program to move the applications and registry entries.

    My goals are:

    1. Not have any "dinosaur bones" either from the OS on my SSD from the old OEM Home version on the new PRO version
    2. Not have to reinstall and reconfigure everything (which would take about a week)
Thanks for any advice I can get...

Install failure Win10 pro 64 retail

    oem or retail key

I've bought what was said to be a retail windows10 pro 32/64 license key. Is there anyway to tell by the numbers or lettering if the key is truly a retail key. Is there something I can do to confirm the key is retail key without installing win10 ? sorry
    for the dumb question.
