Windows 10: Install Larger HDD

Discus and support Install Larger HDD in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I run a dual boot system - W10 and Linux Mint - from the same HDD.     Install Larger HDD


    I run a dual boot system - W10 and Linux Mint - from the same HDD.


    There is very little space left on the W10 partition 30GB and I cannot run updates. The HDD is very old and needs replacement.


    How to do a clean install of W10 on a new 4TB HDD without producing two W10 boot ups? The plan is to copy over documents etc from the old drive to the new one.


    I would be grateful for advice.

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
    causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:


    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.

    Update us on how it goes.
