Windows 10: install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package x64

I have tried to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package x64 on my computer. I downloaded MV c++ 2008 following the instruction given in the following thread:https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/microsoft-visual-c-2008-and-2010/1e858d63-4c4b-46dc-86d3-03f7e8152c87I then launched the x64 installer. It said that the installation had run successfully but I cannot find the location of MV c++ 2008 on my computer.I followed the instruction Method 1 given in the link below to no avail.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/microsoft-visual-c-2

Thanks for the update on the result of you performing the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since you're still getting the error message, we suggest that you get in touch with the application developer to verify the compatibility of the app with Windows 10
as well as confirm what other components it needs to install properly. The reason we are suggesting this is that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages are generally pre-installed in the Windows operating system and additional Microsoft Visual C++
2008 SP1 Redistributable Packages may require an additional license to install.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64) is not installed on my computer. There is two (x86) files instead. I cannot install (x64).

the section about command prompt does not work either. It tells me those listings are not on my computer.

I don't know what to do..
