Windows 10: Install Office 365 in place of Office 2010

On a different computer, I had a trial version of Office 365 installed. I purchased Office 2016 and uninstalled the trial 365 and installed Office 2016. However, Office 365 "remnants" mingled in with the Office 2016 installation and it was a mess getting it straightened out. Perhaps some profile type files, registry entries and who knows what else remain after the uninstall and found their way into the new installation.

Is there a way to absolutely remove everything associated with Office 2010 before I install Office 365.

Problem with registry setting default e-mail client

SAME ISSUE AND CAN'T INSTALL OFFICE 365 - ANYONE KNOW OF A FORCE UNINSTALL FOR OFFICE 365 AND NOT OFFICE 2010. UNFORTUNATELY, IF I UNINSTALL OFFICE 2010, I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE IT AGAIN.

 

Windows 10 Office 2010

My question just the opposite of most questions concerning Office 2010 and Windows 10. Most of those questions deal with Office 2010 after upgrading an existing system to Windows 10. Mine is the opposite: You have a new computer with Windows 10 installed
and Office 365 trial and apps installed. I have Office 2010 Pro. I would like to install Office 2010 Pro on the new computer. Question is: Should Office 365 trial and apps be removed or uninstalled prior to installing Office 2010? What is the correct procedure
for installing Office 2010 in this type of situation?

Hi.
You could always try REVO to uninstall it. But, I think, with the major changes to Office beginning with O2013, you really shouldn't see problems with 2010, that you saw with 2016.
